Platinum Club

As you know, the Club is in need of a major refurbishment of its fixtures and fittings and, though we have, in recent years, spent available funds on major improvements to the kitchens, to date, we have not been able to fund the required work on the ‘front of house’.

Your Committee has launched the Platinum Club in order to address this shortfall.

In joining, you will obtain valuable discounts in the form of vouchers to spend on your food and beverage purchases at the Club, for the next ten years, and in the process, you will be helping your Club to invest in our unique facilities, for the benefit of all our members.

To join this elite group of Club members, we are asking you to donate a minimum of £1,000 to our Platinum Club funds (you can donate more, in multiples of £1000, if you wish) – which will be used to realise our exciting plans for the refurbishment of our Club facilities.

As a Platinum Club member, you will receive a generous £150 of vouchers per year, over ten years, for every £1000 you donate – an excellent tax-free return on your donation.

There will be a list of Platinum Club members displayed in the Club, however we will respect the wishes of anyone who may want to make an anonymous donation.

We want to return our Club to its former glory, and with your help, we will be able to do this in the near future – we do hope that you will join us at this exciting time for our Club.

All funds raised through the Platinum Club will be put into a dedicated bank account held at a separate bank, and administered by a sub-committee and Trustees, independent of the Club committee. In the unlikely event of insufficient funds being raised for the project to commence, all monies paid will be refunded to members by the end of September 2010. To join the Platinum Club, download the form and return with your donation to Jackie Powell, General Manager.

We have appointed a professional interior design team to create the exciting plans we have for our Club. View the proposed design concept

Hot Summer Madness

There is no mistaking that summer is well and truly here. Why not escape the hot sun and the hosepipe bans, and join us at the Club for a truly chilled out atmosphere? From now until the end of August we have relaxed the dress code for the comfort of our gentlemen members and guests – ties will not be required during lunchtime or dinner Monday through to Saturday; however jackets and collared shirts should still be worn. Our Brasserie menu will also be available during the evenings giving you a lighter and affordable option to our usual Table D’hôte and A La Carte menus. There is of course our current offer on Monday evenings when you can enjoy a bottle of house wine for only £10 per bottle, and have three courses for the price of two from our Table D’hôte menu giving you excellent value for money

Anyone for Coffee?

In addition to our excellent filter coffee, we are now able to offer you espresso, cappuccino, cafe latte and Americano coffee all made from best quality fresh coffee beans. Liqueur coffees, Earl Grey and herbal teas are also available.

Television in the Potters Room

For your entertainment, we now have a 55” Samsung television situated in the Potters Room. The TV can be used for corporate and sporting events, and general entertainment.

Cocktail Nights

Tuesday and Wednesday evenings will be cocktail nights. We will be serving you with delicious cocktails in the Lounge, accompanied by our new resident pianist Gary Davies.

Introduction of new members

We are always keen to introduce the delights of the Potters Club to new members, and we want you to help us. And, whilst there is no such thing as a free lunch .... that's what we will give you in return for you introducing someone new to the Club, once they have joined – in fact, we are offering a free meal for two, up to the value of £20 per head (so you can choose from either our A La Carte or Table D'hote menu) and a bottle of house wine, for each new member you successfully recruit. Please let your friends, family, colleagues and acquaintances know, that this is THE place in North Staffordshire for fine dining, comfortable surroundings, a special place to eat, meet and relax. For those of you that are company members, if the new member is also a member of your own company, where five or more of you join, you will also benefit from discounted corporate rates on your annual subscription and there will be no further entrance fee to pay. Go to our Members page now, and download an application form, alternatively you can pick up a membership information pack from our Reception desk.

Room Hire

Our function rooms are now available free of room hire for those functions that include food and wine. We have created new function menus with courses individually priced to enable you to plan your own menu to suit your budget. We also have a new buffet menu for less formal occasions. These menus can be downloaded from our Private Dining page.

Lunchtime Dress Code

In recognition of common general working practice and recent comments from many of our professional members regarding the dress code, lunch times are now tie free. Please note however that collared shirts and jackets are still required.

Birthdays

If you dine with us to celebrate your birthday, we will give the birthday person their meal free of charge – offer applies to the member only, booking a minimum table of 4c dining from the Table D’hôte menu (not to be used in conjunction with any other promotion/ vouchers). To ensure that we don’t miss your special day, please let us have your birth date by emailing info@thepottersclub.co.uk quoting your name and account number.

Wine List

We have introduced a new wine list from our new local suppliers Whitebridge Wines, who are based in Stone. Whitebridge Wines have offered a 5% discount on their wine catalogue to our members. Wines from our old wine list will be available to buy at discounted prices at our Wine and Ware sale on Monday, 20th July

And finally, a few reminders...

Family membership is still available to spouses, partners of members, and sons, daughters between the ages of 21 and 30, for just £43.00 + VAT
